I just read, over at SF Site in Steven Silver's News column, that Phil Farmer's wife Bette has died today, June 10th. Having met her and known her as a wonderful lady, I am of course saddened. As it seemingly often happens, when a couple are together for most of their lives, when one passes away the other goes soon after. I seem to recall the same thing happening with the De Camps. They passed away within a very short time of one another.
