Hi Thomas,

Not sure why you bumped this up, but I will say that thanks to all our authors and Tachyon Publications--the anthology's publisher--the signing was a great success. Tachyon sold 45 copies of the book, which was every copy they brought with them and other dealers at the convention sold a lot of copies too.

I misread this and thought it was just about the anthology in general. Also I was trying to rise up some threads relevant to the magazine or SF and override the glut of politics I played a part in.

Is there a thread for discussion of the Asimov's 30th anniversary Antho? I'd be curious how people thought it stacked up against The Very Best of F&SF Antho just released. It may be an unfair comparison since F&SF has so many more years of material to choose from.

As I mentioned when the antho first came out, I thought it enjoyable, and was only disappointed by the absence of Somtow Sucharitkul and Barry Longyear, who seemed to dominate the mag in its early years.

As far as the FandSF compilation goes, terrific monument to the mag; down side is, for a longtime sf reader, most of the work is familiar to me. A great introduction to a wonderful sf source for those who haven\t already read, say, FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON and other such famous stories before.
